Sliding Gates Auckland

Sliding gates that glide smoothly and save space. Track or cantilever systems, aluminium or steel frames, automation ready.

Sliding driveway gates are the best choice for many Auckland homes. The gate travels sideways along the fence line instead of swinging into the driveway. This saves space, suits sloped drives and handles windy conditions better than large solid swing leaves. We build aluminium or steel frames with your choice of infill and we size tracks, rollers and posts to match the gate weight.

A standard slider uses a ground track with two main roller carriages. A cantilever system holds the gate off the ground completely which is useful where debris collects across the drive or where you want a very clean crossing. Both can be automated. We add end stops, guides and neat rack mounting so travel feels smooth and quiet.

Styles and Infills

  • Aluminium slat in horizontal or vertical layouts

  • Solid panel to match privacy fencing

  • Mixed material with timber or composite slats

  • Matching pedestrian gates and fence panels

Automation Options

  • Motors with soft start and soft stop

  • Safety beams and obstacle detection

  • Remote, keypad, intercom and phone app control

  • Battery backup for power cuts

  • Timers and auto close

Our Process

We confirm clear opening width, set out mounting plinths or posts, and plan cabling paths for motors and controls. For steep sites we consider rack pitch and tooth engagement carefully so the motor runs smoothly in all weather.

Compliance and Process

We plan latch positions, gate swing direction and clearances. We coordinate inspections if needed and provide care notes at handover.

FAQs

  • Yes. We can build a motor ready with rack and stops, then add the motor and safety gear when you are ready.

  • Aluminium is light and suits coastal areas. Steel is ideal for heavy duty or security focused gates.

  • Keep it free of stones and leaves and rinse now and then. We recommend annual servicing.

  • The mechanism does not. Posts and fences over 2.0 metre or near driveways may. We will advise.
